Rural Laos
In the case of Laos we follow the trail of Xaisongkham through some of the poorest rural villages in the country, which although being rich in natural resources and surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, have historically lacked the knowledge as to how to sustainably harness the benefits of their environment, and as confronted with new technology and capitalist pressures there is an increasing urgency to provide a forum to critically discuss and share information.
