b.1980 Watanabe’s work has been presented in international exhibitions such as Version Beta (Geneva) and Extended Senses (Seoul). She has been deeply exploring the very nature of the mediated image and its components, examining the capturing of time and space in the moving image and dissecting this process to question the system of the technology itself. “In-between Gaze” “In-between Gaze” is between the gaze of man and the gaze of technology, revealing the image processing of the optical device and the human eye and asking what should we do when we find ourselves within the machine.
