Performance Workshop / Public Intervention
Public space may be a space which we just pass through from one place to another, but it is a space in which numerous others undertake the same action, it is a collective shared space, no matter what its legal ownership status maybe. As inhabitants and creators of this shared space it just takes a turn in thinking to transform the possibilities of this space whereby expression and authorship may be realized.
Forming a human chain participants will move through the city streets, in a train like form, journeying through the various guises of public space and calling in at different “stations” where we will share our experiences and perception of the locality, before going on to compare with the next stop. Passengers may board or disembark along the way, but each forms a link in the collective imagination of public space.
